There was tears this moring as the Imo State Government began the demolition of the ancestral Eke ukwu market in Owerri.

Though there had been protest with indigenes saying, the market is part of their traditional heritatge but the Governor is of the opinion hat the traffic caused on he road due o the market congestion is unbearable and so must be moved.

Anyway as the demolition began, a young boy who had come to the market to help his mother move her goods was hit by a stray bullet and died on the spot.As sen in the photo above, you can see his sister wailing on his corpse. More photos...
